I have no doubt in my mind that I am a victim to long term exposure to radiation from a phone mast.

I suffered for years with sleep problems, headaches, vertigo, skin rashes, heart palpitations and low white blood cells only to be told by my doctor that it was either stress or a virus.  I now realise that my symptoms are known as a condition called electrosensitivity (ES). I eventually developed breast cancer at the age of 38 in November, 2001.

Chemo was difficult as I was suffering with low immunity before they even started treatment. I only managed to get through the six months treatment by receiving neutropen injections, which forced the white blood cells out of my bone marrow.  However, on three occasions I left the area where I lived to an area free from radiation, much to my surprise, my white blood cell count shot up, which enabled me to receive the chemo without needing the neutropen injections. It should be pointed out that many people living in our tiny village also suffered with low white blood cells.

I am now clear of breast cancer, but still suffer with ES symptoms. It had an enormous impact on my life and the lives of my family. It has been a long hard battle not only against breast cancer, but also against the insensitive siting of the T-Mobile phone mast which was 100 metres from my home.  I discovered that I was living in a cancer cluster which is one of many since discovered around phone masts worldwide. My health took another downturn in 2007.  I had stopped taking the cancer drug tamoxifen after 5 years and had developed a large growth and pre cancer cells in my womb and had a full hysterectomy.

If only I'd known about the research in connection with EMF's, I might have realised that it is not a good idea to live 100 metres from a 22.5 metre phone mast. Out of our tiny hamlet in Wishaw four other ladies developed breast cancer at the same time out of the 18 houses around surrounding the mast and one man died of motor neurone disease. I had been living next to the mast for over seven years before I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Don’t become another victim, demand protection and regulation from the Government. Educate yourself by reading the Rewrie.me eMagazine. Go to www.rewire.me
It's a highly interactive full screen PDF with links to video, virtual reality, audio and scientific studies about the dangers of the electromagnetic fields that are produced by our modern technology.

We have attempted to present this information in a way that is easy to read and understand with colourful graphics and "Rich Media" as support materials. The Radiation Research Trust are the distributors and sponsors of the publication and we hope to use this medium to reach the governments and their citizens from all over the world that are still unaware of the illnesses that are caused by wireless technologies.

As you know I believe that I got breast cancer from a phone mast and I would like to be able to share my circumstances with others so they can avoid the dangers of unsafe levels of radiation by applying the precautionary principle and live a long and healthy life. That is what the magazine and campaign is all about. I am hoping that you can help me spread the word by forwarding this information on to others who you think might be interested in the subject matter.

You can also download further information and research from the Radiation Research Trust website www.radiationresearch.org it includes the following powerpoint presentation which contains further details about my story: http://www.radiationresearch.org/pdfs/eileen_my_story.pdf
